        Are you referring to the project I work on and collecting breath samples from people?

        If you are talking about the breath sampling, we can know if someone is not breathing into the bag because the bag will not fill up like a balloon.

        Sometimes we use a machine to help people breath when they cannot, like after a surgery. This machine is called a mechanical ventilator and is used in hospitals.
