Density is the mass divided by the volume. The most dense planet in our solar system is Earth. This is because it contains lots of heavy minerals compacted together.
Jupiter, although it is much larger and heavier, contains a less compact core, and most of the planet is made up of hydrogen and helium. Its less dense than the moon!

Earth is the densest planet- but did you know that there is an Italian satellite called LARES orbiting the planet made of an incredibly dense tungsten alloy. The satellite is apparently the densest orbiting object in the solar system, even though it is quite small!
