I’ve been really lucky to travel a lot as a scientist. We often go to conferences to meet up with scientists from other parts of the world. Most of the conferences that I go to are either in America or Europe. I’d love the chance to go to Japan as I find it very interesting to go to places that seem quite different to England.
Jenni is absolutely right, you travel a lot as a scientist – most of the time for free! I really want to go to Iceland. There so many things to see there, from volcanoes, the northern lights, whales, and geysers! :O
I love travelling and have had the chance to see lots of amazing things
Ive climbed the sydney harbour bridge, fed kangaroos, held a koala.
Saw a lion eat a zebra (thats a bit gross!)
Went to Lapland and went out into the snow on a husky sleigh
I would probably like to go and visit Japan, I am a black belt in Karate and would love to see what martial arts in Japan would be like. Also I can speak a little Japanese although i would need to learn more before my trip!
At the moment I really want to visit Singapore- some of the buildings there are really interesting. I’d really like to see one of the ‘vertical farms’ where vegetables are grown in huge skyscrapers in the city.
I cannot recommend Japan enough- I went there very recently and I had wanted to go for years and years! It is beautiful, interesting, very different from the UK and the people were so helpful and kind!
